Nice work with the composition! I love how she's positioned right in front of the row of trees. And I love the focus on him. I wonder if she has a rose too...

@Aaron Schmidt: Thank you. I loved this location. The rows of trees really helped me out. The ocean is just to the left but you can't see it because it was so foggy that day.

@Jan: Thanks so much. Yeah this is in color originally, but the thick fog just washed everything out. Too much white. So I decided to go with the black and white.

WOW!!! Amazing job! First off, wonderful composition (I never would have thought of doing anything like this), LOVE her expression and her pose, great dof...and what a location?! Edward, this is just awesome. I'm sure they will love this.

@Melissa W.: Haha thanks so much. I wrote down a bunch of different ideas that I thought would make for a good shot. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. The location totally helped me with this too. We pulled into the entrance to UMASS Boston and I saw this long stretch of trees all in a row. I stopped the car right there.

What a great artistic and creative way to emote happiness and the capture of an upcoming surprise! You perfectly angled and executed a wonderful photo. Another thought would be to Photoshop the flower in color for a bit of a "pop". But, I really like what you've done here. You got skills!
